DBT & EFT Psychotherapist

Denise is a qualified Dialectical Behaviour Therapist (DBT) with over ten years of experience. She is also has training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) which she is passionate about integrating into her practice and is experienced in utilising this training in work with individuals and couples. Denise utilises mindfulness in all her work and also offers Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) courses. 

Denise has worked with a wide range of mental health difficulties. She worked in inpatient mental health services with severe and enduring mental health challenges as well as within independent practice. 

Denise has supported a range of clients with general and severe and enduring mental health difficulties including anxiety and depression as well as those with a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder (BPD). She also has training and experience of working with those with co-morbid diagnoses of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and trauma associated with rape, domestic violence and childhood abuse. Denise has also supported clients with learning difficulties through adaptations of the DBT programme. 

Denise’s goal is to use her professional skillset to support clients to take control of their own lives.
