Dr Jessica Conrad-Czaja

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Jessica Conrad-Czaja is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. She has been working in mental health services with children, adults and families since 2010, across a range of services. Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2018, she has specialised in working with people who are experiencing disordered eating and people experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties linked to disrupted early attachments and developmental or complex trauma. 

Dr Conrad-Czaja provides psychological assessment, consultation and therapeutic interventions for a range of difficulties. She uses several therapeutic approaches including systemic therapy, psychodynamic therapy and cognitive and behavioural therapies (including ideas from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy [CBT], Acceptance and Commitment Therapy [ACT], Compassion Focused Therapy [CFT] and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy [DBT]). She is also trained in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP, attachment-focused family therapy), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused CBT, Family Based Treatment for Adolescent Anorexia (FBT) and the Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA). 

In addition to her independent practice, Dr Conrad-Czaja works for a child and adolescent inpatient service within the NHS, providing psychological input for young people, families and staff teams experiencing complex difficulties. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Conrad-Czaja offers supervision and mentoring to aspiring clinical psychologists. She also works with partner agencies in social care and education and is passionate about psychologically informing the ways in which young people are understood and cared for in all settings through training, consultation and supervision.
