Dr Lauren Sayers

Lead Clinical Psychologist & Director

Dr Sayers is a Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Counsellor. She is a registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and an accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the National Counselling Society (NCS). 

She is experienced in working with young people, families and adults of all ages and provides specialist assessment, consultation and therapeutic interventions for a wide range of common psychological issues through both face-to-face and online therapy sessions.

Dr Sayers has worked for a number of leading healthcare organisations, both within the NHS and for independent and third-sector providers of mental health care including St Andrews Healthcare and the Priory Group. Her most recent role is as Lead Psychologist and DBT Lead for a specialist programme providing support to women diagnosed with emotionally unstable / borderline personality disorder (EUPD / BPD) who may also struggle with other complex issues related to mood (self-harm, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety), eating (anorexia, bulimia and binge eating), autistic spectrum conditions (ASD), and psychosis.

Dr Sayers also delivers training for a number of organisations including on the University of Leicester’s Doctoral programme for Clinical Psychologists in Training. She has an extensive background in clinical research having worked as Research and Development Lead within the NHS and has additional British Psychological Society-accredited training and experience as a professional and expert witness, and as a clinical supervisor of other therapists.
