Dr Rachel Attfield is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, having qualified in 2007. She has experience of working with children, adolescents and adults. Rachel can provide clinical assessments, formulations and a range of therapeutic interventions. She has over 13 years of experience working in the NHS (with clients and members of staff).
Rachel specialises in working with adults. She has worked with a range of presentations (including depression, anxiety and trauma) and has particular experience in working with people with a range of physical health conditions (including life limiting ones).
Rachel can offer a range of therapeutic approaches, depending on which is the best fit for the client. In addition to being able to offer CBT, she has completed further training in Motivational Interviewing (highly appropriate when thinking about any kind of behaviour change), Compassion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Rachel currently works for the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist working with people who have long-term health conditions. This role involves working with individuals, groups and offering consultation and reflective practice to the wider teams. Rachel is also an ILM registered coach and has trained as a clinical supervisor for people training to be a clinical psychologist./div>
