Fees & Details

The Specifics…

Fees:

Our fees vary depending on the professional background, training and expertise of the practitioner you see. These have been set competitively based on the fees of other independent organisations’ fees. If the fee, or the type of practitioner you would like to see is important to you, please let us know this when you make contact with us. An indication of our current fee structure is:

Psychologists and Consultants: From £120 per session

Mental Health Practitioners: From £110 per session

Counsellors & Psychotherapists: From £80 per session

Lower fee services (delivered by trainee psychotherapists): From £45 per session

Session length:

Sessions are usually 50 minutes long and are planned with you to ensure they suit your needs. Sessions are available during the daytime between 9am and 5pm. There are also some evening, weekend and early morning appointments available with some of our associates.

Confidentiality:

Confidentiality is uppermost and central to our working practice; everything you share with us will remain confidential according to our professional Codes of Conduct. This means that unless there are significant concerns about your safety or the safety of others, your information will only be shared in confidential, clinical supervision in which you remain anonymous.

The length of a course of therapy:

This can be adapted to meet short and longer-term goals, depending on your needs. This will be reviewed with you regularly, at least six weekly.

The regularity of therapy:

Regularity can vary depending upon the type of therapy you choose to engage in, but it is usually held weekly or fortnightly. This can be discussed with you at your initial consultation.

Consulting Rooms:

Sessions are usually held at one of our comfortable consulting rooms in Northampton, Kettering or Market Harborough. In exceptional circumstances arrangements can also be made for a psychologist to visit you at home. We offer sessions virtually for those wishing to access it online, or those who want to combine face-to-face and online sessions.

If you have any questions that aren’t covered on this page, just get in touch with Serendipity Psychology today, or book a free brief consultation with our Practice Management Team.

Another way to find out what you need to know is through booking an initial consultation which will enable you to meet a psychologist and consider whether you could feel able to work with them. A meeting will also allow you to explore the reasons that led you to access psychological help and what you hope for practically and emotionally. Selecting the right therapist can be a difficult task and may involve several consultations with different people before you find someone you feel comfortable with or who can offer the help you need.

Counselling Insurance / Health Insurance

Serendipity Psychologists are registered with many of the core health insurance providers and are willing to register with providers as required by clients. We would recommend checking with your health insurance provider to find out if psychological therapy is included within your plan, and the parameters of this. Some of the providers we’re registered with include:

  • Bupa
  • Aviva
  • WPA
  • Cigna
