Specialising in providing DBT therapy to clients, providing both skills training and 1:1 therapy, identifying needs and developing interventions to enable them to generalise their skills in the community to enable them to live safe and independent lives.

Sophia’s work for the past 4 years as part of a DBT team in a specialist personality disorder service in a private hospital has ensured extensive experience with this client group. Previous to this, Sophia worked within mental healthcare setting in variety of levels of secure care providing a broad knowledge of needs. Using DBT therapy alongside Occupational therapy skills enable clients to both learn and utilise new skills in their every day lives. Using a client centred approach and an ability to explore, understand and identify needs results in appropriate interventions being developed in a collaborative way, working towards identified goals.

Sophia is currently training to be a sensory integration practitioner, and these skills add to my existing skill set to enable a broader knowledge and flexibility for clients.
