Dr Lucy Brennan

Consultant Forensic Psychologist

Dr Lucy Brennan is a highly experienced and award-winning HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist who specialises in working with Children, Young People and their Families. A Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, Dr Brennan is also trained to Supervisor level in Multisystemic (Family) Therapy, and has over 18 years’ experience working in community, inpatient mental health, Neurodevelopmental and Custodial settings; most recently as a Consultant Forensic Psychologist with responsibility for forensic and occupational therapy services.

Dr Brennan is skilled in the delivery of a variety of therapeutic approaches through both online and face to face sessions, and is trained in DBT for Adolescents, DBT Skills Groups, EMDR, and Multisystemic Therapy (MST). She has also completed BPS accredited Clinical Supervision training and is an approved Placement Supervisor for Trainee Forensic Psychologists. Dr Brennan is highly experienced in individualised formulation, and strengths-based approaches to working with children, young people and their families who are experiencing complex difficulties.

She is a passionate neurodiversity Champion and advises organisations and schools on adaptations that can be made to improve the experiences of neurodiverse individuals, enabling and encouraging opportunities for individuals to realise their full potential. She is also highly experienced in transforming environments to be trauma-aware and responsive.

Dr Brennan has experience of delivering at many conferences and training events and collaborating with children, young people and their families to co-produce innovative service developments and solutions.
